I was born in Zurich on the 20th of June, 1962. My family are from Basilicata, in Italy. When I was six years old, my grandfather gave me a small accordion and my passion for music blossomed. I began piano and flute lessons at the age of nine.
For years, I wrote songs and performed them in piano bars and with dance orchestras. These were songs in Italian and English. These remained unpublished until my two sons, Michele and Luca, who are themselves musicians, opened a recording studio and gave me the opportunity to finish my songs. After writing songs for Billy Todzo, Larry Woodley and Dhenibe Romea, I wrote for Michee ‘Voglia Di Te’, which had a good international response, followed by ‘Elettrica’.
Since then, I have continued to write in English alone and in collaboration. I have written songs for artists who sing in English such as Fraser Jowle. I have also written songs in German and Spanish. I am proud of being a multilingual artist.
With my songs, my goal is to reach as many people as possible, to convey emotion and to create pleasure and surprise. They are arranged in a style that I feel is missing in current music.
